Haju Sunim presented me with a few options to consider with regard to formal Buddhist training. While I was definitely hesitant during our discussion, on further personal investigation, this seems to be something I wasn’t asking for but definitely looking for. I think I’ll go ahead with it eventually, I just need to be balanced in the approach to this.
In other news, I just found an wonderful article I think is worth sharing:
- Arahants, Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas by Bhikkhu Bodhi. Basically in my opinion a reconciliation of ideas and ideals between Early Buddhism and Mahayana Buddhism. Good stuff for a confused and non-sectarian American Buddhist.
