The Three Jewels are everywhere:
- Buddha, Dharma, Sangha
- Sila, Samadhi, Panna (Prajna)
- Body, Mind, Heart
- Earth, Heaven, Human
- Lower, Upper, Middle Diamond,(Tanden/Tan-tien)
- Jing, Qi (Chi / Ki), Shen
- Wisdom, Light/Love, Compassion (Pure Land)
- Sun, Moon, Earth
- Trikaya doctrine of different bodies of awakening (Buddhas)
- The it, the I, the over-I (id, ego, super-ego)
- Shoden, Okuden, Shinpiden
- Sword, Mirror, Jewel (Imperial Regalia)
Even my old cultural tradition of Christianity constantly talked of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; a concept I had lots of trouble understanding when placed aside the equally important doctrine of “Only One God”. Only now through experiential knowledge do I see it is not a matter of right or wrong – this or that, but more a matter of perspective and development of insight. All parts of the same whole, but segmented for further understanding, investigation, and understanding.
